Do you ever write something and at that time, think it sounds great, only to reread it a few years later and realize how much of an idiot you sounded? I just did that with my last few posts. Yikes! I remember writing those and thinking about how funny they were, and yes, I suppose they were funny at the time. Now, though, they just make me slightly sad. That lifestyle that I was leading was certainly not the one intended for me. And it only took a few months for everything that seemed to be going so well to blow up right smack in my face. Let’s take a few moments to recap the past two years to catch you up to speed:
-Football season ended with a bang when we got in trouble in Toronto and got removed from NCAA athletics
-God showed me grace and taugh me a little about humility
-I was offered the position for graduate assistant athletic trainer for the gymnastics team
-I went to Jamaica and had my world turned upside down
-I talked to my dad for the first time in basically 7 years, and celebrated Thanksgiving with that side of the family
-I have committed to running a mini marathon in May (that’s 13 miles. What was I thinking?)
-I am going to Jamaica in July
-I am going to Liberia in February 2011
-I graduate in May with my masters in Wellness Management
There, I suppose that pretty much fills you in on the main going-ons of my life. Of course, a lot was left out because that’s just a bit too much to type for a two-year blogging absence. Plus, you really don’t need to know that much about my life right now, and if you do, well you already know the important things!
I am going to try to be better keeping my blog up to date, but I really can’t promise anything. We will see. And who knows what I will post on here, but you can bet it will be entertaining. Happy reading!
